Job description

As our Front Office Receptionist you are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. Other duties may include processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquires. You'll be the face of Andaz. If you have worked at other Hotels as a front desk clerk or you have an interest in hotel clerk jobs, we'd love to hear from you!

You will be responsible for overall arrival and departure experience of the Hotel guests and visitors ensuring that the guest preferences are noted and utilized to provide guests with the overall stay that reflects their particular needs. Some of the key tasks include but are not limited to:

Enabling a smooth arrival and departure experience including rooming and delivering luggageEnsuring that all guests have the appropriate credit facilities establishedObtaining passport and following all other procedures as per local legislation and Hyatt’s Data PrivacyHandling all cash transactions and billingAssisting guests during their stay and handling guest complaintsMaximizing revenue opportunities through up sellingProviding all required information about the Hotel, available services and facilities.

Job requirements

We would like to get to know you if you have:

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment

Refined verbal and written communication skills

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure are key for this role.

With your intuition and dedication to people, you are always striving to deliver a great service for our guests.

If you are a motivated Receptionist with experience in Hotels or premium restaurants, who likes a challenge, we would love to meet you.
