We are now looking for a charismatic and passionate Mixologist to join the bar team led by Jan Šebek, Bars & Beverages Manager, and become part of the creative world of Minus One — W Prague’s premium cocktail destination.

Working alongside Jan Šebek, one of the leading figures of the Czech cocktail scene, you’ll become part of a team focused on pushing the boundaries of modern bartending and creating memorable experiences through cocktails.

Jan is also a winner of the Czech national Diageo Reserve World Class competition, placing among the top five bartenders globally in 2023, as well as a winner of the international Johnnie Walker Challenge in São Paulo.

At Minus One, cocktails are more than drinks. They are part of an immersive experience combining storytelling, design, gastronomy, music and modern mixology.

The bar offers different cocktail worlds, from reimagined classics and innovative signature cocktails at Poppy to the more intimate and experimental Occulto, where cocktails become part of a unique Fine Cocktail Dining experience.

Job description

• Oversee daily bar and lounge operations, ensuring high service standards and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Manage beverage inventory, ordering, stock control, portioning, and cost management.
• Monitor sales, budgets, payroll, and operating expenses to maximize profitability.
• Lead, train, and motivate the team to deliver excellent guest service.
• Ensure proper staffing levels and effective communication of daily operations and special events.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, promoting continuous service improvement.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, food safety, and responsible alcohol service standards.
• Develop beverage menus, promotions, and initiatives to increase revenue.
• Support employee onboarding, performance management, and professional development.

Job requirements

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of beverage operations, inventory, and cost control.
• Understanding of budgets, sales performance, and revenue management.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications.
